Anti-cheating Measures / Multiple tabs
I've encountered a good few instances of people playing with multiple teams. Using one team for resources and the other as a fighting force. I assumed that they're using multiple tabs, so I tried it and you can have multiple tribes of your own on the go at any one time.
One guy I saw levelled up his tribe a bit and then constantly sent new enemy tribes at his getting them to drop resources so he can gather them and level up quicker.
The most common thing I've seen is people levelling up, getting more tribes and getting each tribe to follow a different tech tree (farming, entire tribe of archers, fighters etc) and then "sitting" on meadows, making the game way less dynamic.
You can tell that they're the same person as they can never move together at the same time, nor can they chat at the same time.
Is there any way you can only allow one tribe per IP / per instance of Wanderers? I guess people can still get around this with proxies but it would certainly make it harder for most. Maybe some kind of browser message posting? I'd be willing to submit a pull request if need be (I'm a FE dev).
Castle should be made by whole team
Improving fps
getting rid of building's shadows and minion idle animations would be a start. Also please consider making the inner edge of the compass the edge of the map.
Give me a warning before you make the server dead.
Give me a warning before you make the server dead. I could have gave all my wood and food to my team mate on castle mode.
Lakes, rivers, cliffs, and other impassable terrain
Make the map a little more challenging to navigate. More than just Player-built walls. Having some natural terrain to wrestle with would be sweet.
Some tips for the game to get better results and to avoid pissing off your teammates
- Always build wells as close to the edge of the meadow as you can, this way there's more room for planting
- Never build food/wood storages on meadows for the reasons above
- Do not build walls sideways across an existing wall, continue the last one.
- Also don't build walls on meadows, build around them.
- Try to include more meadows in a castle if there's many in a small area.
- Always carry water with you
- Collect water during rain, so the meadow will not lose it's life
- Help others if they are in the middle of a fight and losing. Let them collect the loot.
- One big meadow with rocks and one small meadow is more efficient than just the middle meadow.
- To include another part to you castle, build the new part before connecting it to the main wall. Leave one-wall gap before removing the main wall. Then connect the walls quickly before losing all the points, so the castle name will remain.
- If an enemy attacks and you flee and have to leave your plants behind, try to take as much water with you as you can. Maybe the enemy doesn't have any water and can't use the crops because they won't grow.
- Use wall nodes to scare enemies off your castle surroundings.
- Communicate with teammates
I apologise for my english, it is not my main language. Feel free to correct my spelling or grammar.
how about letting the tribe that leaves to defend meadows collects for you
when using the flag i leaned you can make extra units, they go out and attack other tribes who enter meadows. but what ever they collect goes into nothing. it would be nice to have them harvest the resorces and bring them back to a food or wood crate at your bace
