Spearfishing

Owl 7 years ago 0

Add a spear that could be used for Fighting/Fishing.

You could use the spear for fishing in ponds.

The spear would have longer range than other melee weapons.

Sorry for my bad english.

Storm Clouds

Egzekutor 7 years ago updated by PIZZA 7 years ago 9

Hello, during one of my gameplay in wanderers i got interesting idea. what do you think about dark clouds which make dangerous sounds and lightnings? Because this is my idea. Let me show details.

Now in game exist only one type of clouds. It's typical whice clouds which make rain on grass islands which spawn grass, mushrooms etc.I suggest add new storm clouds which is not that peacefull as their white cousins.I suggest add new storm clouds which is not that peaceful as their white cousins.

This clouds will be much darker, and more dangerous, because occassionally it can spawn lightnings which can deal 2-3 dmg to all live units like rabbits and humans. For rabbit one lightning will be insta death. Such cloud also will be longer floating above the grass island.

I have also in mind for make dmg from lightnings more randomly. Sometimes lightning can deal 1 dmg, and sometimes even 4. This can also have different sounds for each power level of lightning.

So if player decide to farm in place where is actually thunderstorm he must take into account, this can be dangerous.

Another smaller idea is burning effect on trees when lightning hit one of it. Such tree just burns and disappear/fall down and maybe drop some wooden logs. Simple, but can add some reality to the game.

I'm waiting for your comments, and what do you think about this idea. Honestly i think this will be great addition to the game.

More Ogres

There are only one Ogre per map. I think this monster should appear more often, and not only in the middle meadow.

Trade Posts should appear on the map as blue dots/disks

HeyEdaed 7 years ago updated by Egzekutor 7 years ago 3

Right now there's no way to know the difference between a regular meadow and a trade post, which is colored differently on the world. I suggest blue, but really any color to make them distinct from regular meadows would be appreciated.

Wanderers changelog - last days

Egzekutor 7 years ago updated by MadPanCake (PanNiedzwiadek) 7 years ago 9

Hi, because not always players can got informations about last updates in changelogs, i'm gonna make one of them for inform you about new things.

Last updates changes:

- You can now drop resources for your allies (or not allies). For do it you must simple click on icon which represent each resource. (if you want drop wood just click wood icon on top)

- New class thief. This class is stealing gold everytime when he deal last hit to enemy troop.

Also they most the time is waiting for deal last hit.

Another thief ability is targeting archers as main enemy during the fight

- Sword and dagger you can buy now paying with gold

- Now on the map you can found boxes which after collecting drop one unit of each type of resources and give you one skill point to the counter in top right corner. Also boxes is marked on the map as small yellow dots.

- Now map have borders: you can't make anymore endless trips

- New skill for archer: Shock arrow

Archers with this skill deal two dmg to all troops without shields

Also old skill with shooting two arrows at once was deleted

- fighting system was changed. Now when you have fight, each troop is gonna have pvp with enemy troop. For example: Your 6 tribe members is fighting with enemy one tribe member. From your tribe only one member is gonna fight. Also archers also is attacking even if there is fight 6v1. This give more chances for survive to the new players because they can't die that fast, being overwhelmed by bigger tribes.

- And of course some bug fixes

I hope this will be helpful for you. If you still have some questions i'm always open, and i try help much as i can.

Gamebreaking issue

Moms Spaghetti 7 years ago updated by Matej 4 years ago 20

It is far too hard for the top players in the server to die. Once an army has full sword minions with max shields and hats, it is impossible to defeat them.

The most popular io games all have mechanics that make it easy for the top players to be destroyed. Kind of like gold rushes, it makes it easy for small players to "strike it rich" and get very big, very fast. This also appeals strongly to you tubers who can make relatively interesting youtube videos. The only reason why youtube have become popular off of these circle games is because they can do "cool moves" that instantly make them big, and they make it seem like anyone can do it with some practice and effort.

Wanderers currently has NONE of this. Basically the bigger you are the stronger you are with no exceptions. Even mechar and wilds make it so that it is not TOO hard for the king to die, eventually everyone HAS to die. This is not the case for wanderers and will eventually lose a lot of players for the game.

My proposal to combat this issue would be to nerf the main source of strength for these large armies: the campfires and infinite resources. These campfires are what keeps the armies going for so long and far. Armies with better gear should not only have to pay extra for campfires, but should also have their resources depleted over time automatically, especially food. This makes it essential for every large army to have resource gathering minions, most importantly axe minions.

Although I think this proposal will help by weakening the largest players and therefore making it easy for them to die, I feel as though theres GOT to be a better way, and I can't think of any. Any proposals on how to make it easy for lower armies to kill bigger ones? Comment!

Vigilante keep off of this post with the bot message!

BETA - Basic-ish Guides and Tips

Ruby Rose 7 years ago updated by MadPanCake (PanNiedzwiadek) 7 years ago 15

Well, with the beta of Wanderers.io out, I would want to share some info and tips onto the game (Note: Some elements of the game may be subject to change, or wrong)

PLAY THE GAME FIRST TO NOT BE SPOILED:

http://rezoner.net/wanderers/

I would not explain some elements of the game, as most of it is easy to figure out..

So far, you can't change the "class" of your people, so choose wisely in a strategic manner. Also, you can only have a total of 6 people in your tribe (Correct me if I'm wrong).

Axe (Lumberjacks) - An extremely important "class" in the game, as they are used to cut down trees and gain wood. You should have at least 1 or more in your tribe.

Bow (Archers) - An extremely important "class" in the game just like the lumberjacks, they are used to hunt and provide supportive fire. You should have at least 1-2 in your tribe. They are unable to use shields (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Hammer (Miners) - A great "class" and a must have. They mine stones to collect gold. Gold is used to buy supplies, or buy equipment. They are able to fight. You should have at most 1 in your tribe.

Scythe (Farmers) - A "class" that are able to cut grass to obtain stuff (Luck Based). Unlocking the scythe enables you to unlock farming, which is great for getting food by cutting grass. Getting the scythe also unlocks mycology, which makes all mushrooms edible. You should have at most 1 in your tribe.

Sword (Footmen) - An extremely important "class" in the game. They have faster attack speed, so they are great in defending or attacking other tribes. You should have at least 1-3 in your tribe.

Mushrooms are one of the important elements in this game, considering that one mushroom can ruin your whole game (Unless you have mycology)

Grey spotted mushrooms don't do anything so far:

The negative affects on the mushrooms can be neutralized by getting mycology

Note: Things are subject to change

Please correct me if some things are wrong, and please share other info down if I missed some (IMPORTANT THINGS ONLY)
