Additional note to my previous post
When I described building system in my previous post (http://wanderers.userecho.com/forums/1-general/topics/159-ideas-for-resource-system-and-base-building/), I've forgot about few important things. How can you destroy buildings more efficiently? How you can fix damaged ones? For that, I've prepared a few more ideas.
1. NEW MINIONS
Bomb Minion: This type of minion throws bombs, which deal 1 area of effect damage. However, it's damage is tripled against Buildings. It cannot be equipped with shield. It has slower attack speed than a regular minion. Can only target Buildings, but area of effect damage will apply to every enemy near targetted Building.
Requirements:
Chemistry Tech
2 Sulphur (plus standard tribe size penalty)
Builder Minion: This minion cannot fight with a set of tools it's equipped with, but is very useful for repairing allied Buildings. It restores 1 Health per hit, and has faster attack rate than a regular minion. It can't be equipped with shield. Whenever Builder minion restores Health to a Building, it consumes 1 Stone per Health point.
Requirements:
Engineering Tech
1 Wood and 1 Iron (plus standard tribe size penalty)
2. NEW TECHS
Burning Arrows (comes from Shock Arrows): Arrows deal double damage to enemy Buildings.
Pillage: Increases loot collected from Crates and Buildings.
Chemistry: Allows player to train Bomb minions.
Demolition Expert (comes from Chemistry Tech): Increases bomb damage dealt to buildings and minions by 1.
3. NEW RESOURCE
Sulphur: Gained from Sulphur Ores or from a Sulphur Merchant.
4. MINOR TWEAKS TO PREVIOUS IDEAS
The Tower: Can't be placed on a Barren Land.
